Yes it is different look for Soca (and yes a capella is a known singing style), but for this genre of music it is something new that has arrived in time for Trinidad and Tobago's Carnival 2013. No, it is not a release for Trinbago's Carnival 2013 but it is something new that has been vested in the interest of Soca music and Trinbago is first on the listing for Carnivals in 2013!
Gosh I hear the kankalang brewing already, Soca is a beat so why is this music listed as Soca? If you pay attention to the music today you will realize that it is all about the marketing of the product with many songs far off the Soca track but are labeled as Soca music. Having said that I will give these guys a pass (not that they need anyone's blessings to market their song). Having said that, my view for this one is to take it for what it is... listen and judge for yourself but take into consideration the following notes from the production team out of the United Kingdom.
