Wah Do | Olatunji | Trinidad & Tobago Carnival 2013

I am not too sure how I feel about this song. It is on the Soca Future Riddim and I have already stated that I like the riddim. Now Olatunji sings his ass of with this one but I felt like I was listening to Inches in portions of the song. Maybe it is too late and I have listened to too many songs tonight. The bottom line is that this one is an action packed singing experience from the start to the end. In other words you can't go wrong if you want to go our and dance and get on bad - this one will take care of business.

I am never a fan of songs that tell a story about drinking rum, maybe that is the problem I have with the song. Drinking rum and 'the girls cyar tell you what yuh cyar do'. No, I am not that much of a hypocrite and yes I do  understand that drinking spirits go hand in hand with feting. I will leave this one for you to decide.

No issue with Olatunji's singing ability or the recording done for this song. He can surely sing and did a very good job on this one.

The guys at Juelio/Generation Studios created a sweet riddim. The music has the right pace and the singers have all done a good job including Olatunji. This is a solid production - the vibe is just right!

Replay Worthiness/lasting appeal:
I am not sure how well this one will do on radio. Maybe it will be played with the other songs as part of a medley for the riddim but I don't think on an individual basis it will get the rotation they desire. Let's wait and see how well this one does.
