I don't believe that I have posted music from St. Croix previously but, as they say, 'better late than never'. This lead vocals on this track belong to Jalena and the secondary vocal accompaniment features the singing talent of Kirk Adams.
This song was done for the St. Croix 2013 Festival (Carnival) and after listening to the song I get the feeling that the producers were not totally thinking Carnival song. This song has a cross platform feel that augers well for 'other than carnival' reviews. Surely, this is not the kind of Soca music that Trinidad and Tobago is accustomed to listening but it is very refreshing to hear at this time of the year!
The Soca beat is very laid back and the singing style firmly places this one in the groovy category. I guess if there was a category for 'Groovy love Songs' in the world of Soca then this one would be at the top of the listing. I really like the direction the producers took with this production... It is smooth, it has the elements loved by Carnival party fanatics but is is sung is a sweet love/groovy style - well done guys!
