I wonder what was going through the writer's mind when he penned these lyrics? I guess we will have to get the answer from Rodney Le Blanc aka Benjai because these lyrics were written by the singer.
The music has a Samba feel to it and it musically smooth with a pace that would make most of the revelers wonder what to do with it. In the end I get a sort of a 'dancehall music' feel to this one. The slow pace of the music is not the typical fast pace of Soca that people are used to (a little disconcerting for some) but this is why Benjai is so unique!
He dropped this one on a public has has been fed a full measure of fast paced tracks but new music aka Island Pop. Benjai has done a 'Shadow' on the music fraternity and has delivered music that is different but uniquely Benjai. I love the music because of the slowed down pace and the infused Latin rhythms. Kudos to Benjai!
