Soul Train, Soul Train... that show, the sound and the organization created by Don Cornelius is known around the World as the main outlet to showcase Black Music Entertainment. A nomination from this organization will surely lend to the entertainers exposure in the World music scene. 

The Soul Train Music Awards still lives on today and now incorporates music from the Caribbean region. The upcoming Soul Train Music Awards for 2011 has nominated Machel Montano's song "Bend Over" in the category of 'Best Caribbean Performance'.  Machel and "Bend Over" are up against several well known Caribbean artistes. The rest of the nominations are as follows:

“Man Down” - Rhianna (Winner! updated 11/27/11); “Wotless” - Kes (The Band); “Summer Time” – Vybz Kartel and “Delilah” – Movado. Once again the category is "Best Caribbean Performance."  The official taping date for the show is scheduled for November 17, 2011 and  will be shown on Nov 27th  @ 9:00 PM Simulcast broadcast on CENTRIC and BET channels.
