Ole Time Days by Nappy Myers: I Want to Go Home!

I recently started a thread on Islandmix.com that asked a simple question about feeling homesick. Specifically, what song, after hearing it, makes one feel like dropping everything and heading back to the land of their birthplace?

You know the story of the cascadura and those who ate the cascadura... that eventually you will, like the salmon and the turtle, head back to the place of your birth (not to procreate... not a bad thought though...lol), but for the purpose of recharging your soul to bring you back at one with nature and to make you feel at peace within. I chose the song "Sugar Island" by Carl Jacobs and Roger George; someone chose "Nah Leaving" by Denise Plummer, while another person selected "Portrat of Trinidad" by the Mighty Sniper (Mervyn Hodge).

However, someone posted "Ole Time Days" by the great Nappy Myers, and it reminded me that this is one of my favorite songs. I have posted that person's selection here, but the version by Levi Myaz is also very beautiful. I hope it reminds you of home and, at the same time, encourages you to leave a comment on the song that does the same for you.
