Soca’s global reach continues to grow, with new voices emerging across the diaspora. For Carnival 2027, Montréal-based artist Bori enters the conversation with “Holding On,” a smooth-groove soca release that reflects both Caribbean roots and Canada’s growing contribution to the genre.
He is a Montréal soca voice known for work across music, theater, spoken word, and performance art; Edgar Bori brings a distinct creative background to soca. On “Holding On,” he blends his artistic identity with the emotion, rhythm, and warmth that define groove soca.
