DJ Jel Drops the Ultimate 2025 Carnival Cool Down: Pure Soca Bliss for Every Fan

It's the weekend, and people just want to put on music purely for listening pleasure. Today we feature a mixtape by one of our favorite Soca music DJs, who consistently delivers Soca music compilations that are relevant and just in time for upcoming carnivals. Jel's latest mixtape release is the 2025 Carnival Cool Down (Las Lap) by the man known as "The Soca Boss," and he delivers some sweet music transitions with the latest and most popular Soca tracks. The vibe is right, the music is as sweet as ever, and most importantly, DJ Jel skillfully places each song in the right place as he transitions to the next. This mixtape is pulsing as I write this blog post. We can just imagine the dancing taking place across the hemisphere. Kudos to "The Soca Boss!"

The playlist for the mixtape is available on the mixtape's YouTube link and other sites published by Jel. Interestingly, there are three unreleased Soca tracks on the mixtape, as listed below. We would appreciate your thoughts on the new songs. This mixtape features a diverse and impressive lineup of Soca stars, showcasing only the best. Here is a brief look:
  • Kes The Band x Tano - Medicine
  • GBM Nutron—Hero
  • Machel Montano—The Truth
  • Patrice Roberts—Is Mas
  • Farmer Nappy—Choose One
  • Blaka Dan—Blessing
  • Waddicks—Drinking Partner (TW Edit)
  • Mela Caribe, Yung Bredda - Ben Ova Miss
  • Salty X Militant X Travis World - Tiger Baby
  • Yung Bredda X Added Rankin - Bamcie
  • GBM Nutron, Travis World - Jamtown Party (Not Released)
  • V'ghn, Travis World - Good Body Gyal (Not Released)
  • Lyrikal, Travis World - Bad Head (Not Released)
Jel's music transitions create an immersive Carnival experience, perfect for preparing for Jamaica Carnival and so many upcoming summer carnivals in the Caribbean and the diaspora or alleviating post-Carnival blues, making this mixtape an ideal remedy.

Let us spread awareness of the Caribbean diaspora's culture.
Our goal is to promote Caribbean culture, musicians, and music producers. We are able to honor and promote the rich sounds and tales of the Caribbean thanks to your support. Together, we can ensure that this rich cultural legacy continues to reach a wider audience and foster creativity and connections. While you should always buy music for sale, you should avoid sharing promotional music because it denies songwriters, producers, and artists important revenue.  Please be aware that all of our posts are available online through social media platforms like  FacebookYouTubeInstagram, and SoundCloud. We recommend exploring your favorite content on FeedSpot/RSS FeedThreadsBluesky, and Twitter/X, including email subscriptions.  Thank you in advance.
