A Night of Musical Fusion: Lady Adana's "CalyJazz" Show

Last night, at the Creative Arts Center in San Fernando, Trinidad, Lady Adana graced the stage and wowed the audience in attendance with her smooth vocals. It was a celebration, a musical experience of our culture, a much-needed experience after our 2025 Carnival celebration.

The vibe was smooth and jazzy; after all, it was a fusion of jazz and calypso music with music that put you in a mood, a sip of red wine, and a smile on your face as you realize that Trinidad and Tobago's culture can conquer any music genre.  Marsha Clifton, aka Lady Adana, along with her band, showed their versatility with a mesmerizing music that was appreciated not just by the patrons on site but by the international viewers who were able to watch the show, free of charge, via WACK Visual Radio 90.1 FM.

There were many guest artists, including Kerlz, who is Lady Adana's daughter and one of my favorites of the night, and Andre J Donawa playing the electric violin. They all delivered excellent, soulful and jazzy performances.

In addition to the entrance fee, Lady Adana requested donations to support a very noble cause. She, Lady Adana, used the show to promote awareness for the plight of the needy, partnering with the organization NGO Crown to support girls and women in need. Part of the show's proceeds and donations will be used to support NGO Crown's efforts to secure a future for this needy and worthwhile cause.

Thanks to WACK Visual Radio 90.1's live feed, the show was delivered free of charge to an international audience. Our culture endures, thriving and visible to all. The music was inspirational and brought together a culturally aware group of people who would ensure that their peers seek out and watch the show on WACK's YouTube page or here on Sokah2Soca.

Lady Adana is a sensational and superb singer, and her performances tonight clearly show that she is not just a Calysonian of class but an international artist who can sing anything. So cheers to her, cheers to all who made the show possible, and cheers to the band and musical director Kyle Peters for a job well done. We need more shows like this one to celebrate the talent, the art of Trinidad and Tobago.

Let us promote the culture of the Caribbean diaspora.
Our mission is to advance music producers, performers, and Caribbean culture. Your support helps us celebrate and elevate the vibrant sounds and stories of the Caribbean. We can all work together to make sure that this rich cultural legacy continues to inspire creativity and connection while reaching a larger audience. You should always purchase music for sale but refrain from sharing promotional music, as it deprives the artists, producers, and songwriters of vital income.
