Today, the National Junior Panorama Competition took place at the Queen's Park Savannah in Port of Spain, Trinidad. This was the 50th. anniversary of this now very popular steel band music competition. The competition featured three categories: primary schools, secondary schools, and 21 and under.
The children were excited, but the adults in attendance were just as enthused as the bands performed. The show featured two guest Soca artists, Ding Dong and Mical Teja. Many were sad when the results were announced, but the winners jumped and celebrated on stage.
The top three places for all three categories are listed below along with the full performances provided by WACK Visual Radio 90.1FM.
It was an amazing night of music, and then came the results. The 21 and under delivered a four-way tie for second place. This category saw ties and, at the bottom also... an amazing outcome indeed. The results are posted below. You can rewatch the entire show if you have the time to spare—posted below.
