Today, with so many shows taking place for Carnival 2025 in Trinidad and Tobago, most of the new music releases are out! After all, Carnival is but two weeks out, and now is the time to fête and enjoy the pleasures that our carnival culture provides. It is a surprise when new music—good music—comes as the show heads to its climax. We have the pleasure to feature a collaborative masterpiece by two of the nation's most prolific musicians: Joshua Regrello and André J. Donawa. "Calypsoul" is the name of their new music.
This unique duet brings together the national instrument and a modern version of the violin to deliver an inspiring musical piece produced by Brooklyn Decent and Alien Muzik with additional production work by Badjohn Republic. N.M.G. Muzik was responsible for the final polished version, mixing, and mastering.
This is a song that will surely find a home on our treasured playlist for Carnival 2025. Unlike most Power Soca songs released this year, this song feels like a timeless classic.
