Pressure by Kes features a fast-paced Soca beat, classifying it as a Power Soca song, but the vocals are smooth and clean. The track resembles a contemporary interpretation of Power Soca, although it does not fully align with the traditional essence of the genre. The smoothness of this song is what truly makes Power Soca relevant. However, the pace is simply too rapid for any extended listening period.
Now, while fans are going goo-goo-ga-ga over this song, I will stand on the side of the road and watch masqueraders struggle to keep up with London Future's connection to our hearts, as well as the energy and adrenaline required to sustain this song for any length of time.

If you listen to this song a few times and you are a Kes fan, you may discover yourself dismissing any assumed negative remarks about it. So let me say this: The music's BPM is high, and Kes sings beautifully; however, that does not make it the Power Soca anthem they desire. Kes has great lyrics and a great voice that would be more appropriate for a Groove Soca song than this fast-paced one.
