Machel Montano is the real Soca boss! To this day, he continues to dominate the biggest shows. He is known for his high-energy, fast-paced, and often unpredictable on-stage performances. He is, without a doubt, the genre's most popular artist and has been rightly crowned "King of Soca". Today we take you on a musical journey featuring nearly three and a half hours devoted exclusively to your favorite "Groovy Soca" music from MM. MM was born in Trinidad in 1974. He began his musical career at a young age, and by the early 1990s, he was one of the most popular soca artists in Trinidad and Tobago. He has won numerous awards for his music, including six International Soca Monarch titles.
Montano is known for his versatility as an artist. He has experimented with a variety of musical styles, such as reggae, dancehall, and hip-hop. He has also collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Pitbull, Boyz II Men, Timaya, Ashanti, and Major Lazer, featuring Ariana Grande. Machel has also worked with most of the major Soca artists in the business today, including Patrice Roberts, Destra Garcia, Farmer Nappy, Bunji Garlin, and Skinny Fabulous.
Montano is a global ambassador for soca music. He has toured extensively and introduced soca to new audiences. He advocates for social justice and equality.
In 2023, Montano released his 20th studio album, "MM40". The album celebrated his 40th birthday and 30-year music career. It featured collaborations with Sean Paul, Kes, and Destra.
Montano is a true icon of Soca music. He is a gifted musician, a charismatic performer, and a tireless advocate for his genre. He is sure to entertain and inspire audiences for years to come.
