Today we travel back four months to the future. This is the Recharge Riddim featuring artists from Trinidad, the Cayman Islands, USVI and Barbados. We are doing this because we believe these songs will be relevant for the upcoming Summer Carnivals 'up de islands' in the Caribbean.
The Recharge Riddim Soca features tracks from Jadel, Erica Assai, Pumpa, and Fadda Fox. This compilation is sure to get your feet moving and your heart pumping with its infectious beats and catchy melodies.
Jadel's "Tame Nutting" kicks off the album with a bouncy and upbeat rhythm that sets the tone for the rest of the tracks. Her smooth vocals and playful lyrics make this track an instant party starter. Take note that no one can tame this Soca vixen! Erica Assai's "One More Wine" follows suit with its high-energy beat and catchy chorus of "one more wine" that will have you singing along in no time. This song has potential and should provide loads of fun at a fete.
Pumpa's "Emergency" brings a unique sound to the album. The track features a heavy bassline and powerful vocals that demand attention. Pumpa is a rough rider who does not pull his punches. This is a man's vibe! Fadda Fox's "Hell No" rounds out the compilation with his controlled delivery inviting everyone to "wuk-up" the way only Bajan can! He does not mean to be disrespectful, but he just wants to wine and have a good time.
Overall, the Recharge Riddim, produced by Krishna Lawrence, is a fantastic collection of Soca tracks that get any party started. The production quality is top-notch, and the vocals are impressive. Whether you're a seasoned Soca fan or just looking for some new music to dance to, this compilation is definitely worth a listen.
