No, don't stop the carnival! Well, even though there may be no Caribbean Carnival street parades with traditional mas bands that don't mean that our virtual sense of the festival has to stop! There will be scaled down 'staged' festival performances in Trinidad & Tobago during the regular carnival period and with that, we can add this new mix of songs for our virtual carnival 2022; the vibe is entitled "The Walé Project" produced by SVG production company "Fryktion Muzik". The Walé Project features singers from across the Caribbean basin with the following artistes singing on the riddim: Adam O out the USVI with a song entitled, "Going Under". Next up is Blaxx out of Trinidad & Tobago with a song entitled, "Rock So". Number three on the list is Olatunji our of Trinidad and Tobago with a song entitled, "Sexy Baby (Fling it Back)". Number four on the vibe is a song entitled "Gyalis" by Skinny Fabulous out of Saint Vincent. Finally, we have a song written and sung by Machel Montano (TT) and Problem Child (SVG) entitled, "Just Dance".
There is something for every Soca music lover in this mix. One may be a fan of a singer, or just because you are territorial, or simply because you love the vibe. We think you will love all the songs on the vibe. My personal favorite on the mix is "Rock So" by Blaxx, what is your favorite song on the riddim?
