Today we present a summer music release from Trinidad and Tobago Soca artiste Blaxx. The song is entitled "Formula (Rum and Soca)". This song was released in time for Grenada's Spice Mas and all West Indian style carnivals for the summer of 2019.

So what's the formula for good Soca music? Well, you will have to go back to Pharaoh's Trinidad carnival release where he explained the 'Formula' for good music. Today, however, Blaxx provides the formula for a good carnival 'fete'. Blaxx delivers the vocals to a song written by  James "Jamesy P" Morgan & Shawn "MistaRoots" Mitchell which explains that the mixture of 'Rum and Soca' is the true formula for a good 'fete'.

Blaxx pays tribute to all carnivals in the Caribbean region that religiously fulfill the promise every year. Rum and Soca, the true "Formula" ensures that everyone has a good time. Carnival and feting go hand in hand and, having said that, the genius of the brand driving the engine is 'Rum and Soca'.

The music is catchy and hits the sweet spot for having a good time. This is not break neck speed Soca but the style for everyone to fete and have a good time. Kudos to Blaxx for remaining relevant throughout the year with new music releases. Kudos to the song writers and the production team. This is one song that will 'grow on you'.
