"Right For Somebody", by Kerwin Du Bois, is an excellent song; there is no denying that fact! The vocals were done from deep within the soul of Kerwin Dubois (one can sense the emotions in his vocals). The message is real and one that so many can relate to everyday in their lives. So why are we back here taking a look at a song that was released for the now concluded Trinidad and Tobago Carnival? Timing, everything is all about timing as it relates to Carnival music.

That may be the problem, labeling the music Carnival music but that is what it is and it was released as the season was opening up. We do believe that the Osaka Riddim came too early to remain topical because of the flood of new songs released as 2019 ushered in the carnival momentum. Every day we had new music releases! The Osaka Riddim was released in October 2018... it was amazing at that time but soon fell behind on play-lists as new music was released by some of the more popular artistes. Of course we are aware that Kerwin Du Bois is one of the 'big names' in the industry but he did not really present himself for the carnival season denying the song much needed promotion.  Then again, with over three million views/plays on YouTube the production team are probably not worried about Carnival successes... the bigger picture is to conquer the International market.

When we posted the Osaka Riddim in October 2018 we said the following about "Right For Somebody:
Kerwin Dubois dug deep and exposed what drives him to be the man he is today. Brilliant lyrical content and vocals that continue to keep Kerwin out from and in demand. Sometimes it is good to take an introspective look and feel good about your accomplishments... those that are personal and make you feel good about yourself and those that others can appreciate. Yes, it is a blessing to love oneself and know that if one person is not right for you there is definitely someone else out there for you.

Now that the adrenaline and hype have been capped until another year we can now listen to this song in a more relaxed fashion and appreciate the beauty of the song. We are posting a Soundcloud music player and a YouTube lyric video so that you can follow the lyrics for this excellent song. Today we look back and feel... close your eyes, listen to the song and feel!
