Depression and suicide are real issues that lead to pain and suffering! Let that sink in... no one is immune to feelings of anxiety and the silent killer depression. Tigress has penned an international gem to let everyone become aware of the fact that "depression is real"! It goes without saying that you have to be in the kitchen to feel the heat; however that may not be the case with depression.
Many out there are experiencing some form of depression and are not even aware of it. Help is out there and, for that reason, we feature this song of hope from Tigress entitled, "Who Feels It Knows It". This song is a tear jerker, a song delivered out of painful and personal experiences of a mother who lost two sons but filled with hope for those with shared experiences.
Depression is real... who feels it knows it! The pain can be heard and felt from this beautiful vocal expression in song but the message is clear... seek help! "Who Feels It Knows It" is Joanne Rowley's presentation for carnival 2019; a gift to the nation and the rest of the World. Depression is real and we need to learn to recognize the symptoms and deal with this silent killer.

Joanne Rowley fondly known as Tigress has delivered a poignant message in song for her fans and for those who just love to listen to excellence in the Calypso art-form. I first heard this song played on WACK 90.1 FM out of San Fernando, Trinidad. The radio host, Desmond Peters, was emotionally moved and teared up as he listened to the emotion that trembled in the singers voice as she expressed love and pain in her emotional vocal delivery of profound song. As we are all aware, life experience is the best teacher. If you live and experience this emotional roller-coaster then you will have a better appreciation for struggle to escape this death grip. Pain and heartache will make any grown man weep and brought to his knees. This song will live on and help many long after carnival 2019 becomes history.
Be warned, if you are an emotional being and wear your emotions on your sleeve then be prepared to expose your humanity when listening to this song. It is time that we all come to terms with our own demons and to share our pain to relieve the uncertainty that lies ahead. There is no need to suffer in silence! Share your pain and relieve your soul of the burden that is making you an emotional wreck. Depression is a killer but we don't have to destroy our lives to find the answer. Follow the lead of Tigress and seek help, we are social entities and we can find the help we need to overcome all obstacles.
