Party (We Mad) | Tony Prescott | Trinidad & Tobago 2019

Tony Prescott has thrown down the gauntlet to all Soca Kings and Queens out there who think they are the heart and soul of what all know as "Carnival Vibe". This is not a blended version of Soca, hell no, this is fiery Soca... authentic Soca and you better drink your Red Bull to keep up with this one! Hell yes, this is new music, produced by Terrance James, for Trinidad and Tobago carnival 2019. The singer is the man who created the boat ride anthem, "All Aboard". This song is entitled, "Party (We Mad)" sung by Tony Prescott.

At this point, you have to understand that we are a fan of this very talented and underappreciated singer. Tony has been around for some time and he continues to bring us music that is timely. This one is considering that every song released to date fits into the Groove Soca category. Tony has added some fire with this music release. We expect it to be the song that will bring the heat from now on... everyone will have to play catchup with this song. Now let's talk a little about the song itself.

The lyrical content is all about carnival revelry. Party, woman and Soca music is what this song is all about. No one goes to a carnival fete to behave like they are in a house party. This song sets the tone for decent winin' (whinin') and mischievous carnival adventures. The pounding Soca rhythm along with vocals that encourages everyone to 'fling something up in the air' and have fun... just pure niceness when friends link up!

The music composition/production hit the sweet spot with the authentic Soca vibe. They did not blend in any other music style. This is a jamming calypso style Soca drive that will have every on behaving like they are mad! What does that mean? Simply put, the party lit!

We do believe that this song could sound even better with some behind the scene work by the people who mix and master the track. We get the feeling that this song could captivate the spirit of carnival with a little tweaking. I am a consumer of music, not a producer; however, I know what I like to hear! This writer would welcome hearing other percussive instruments from the drum kit, namely the high hat! We have vocals, components of the drum kit, and bass guitar... we feel the song needs a little 'musical color' that would put serious pressure for upcoming music released with the same bpm.
