Don't fool yourself, this mix-tape with some of the hottest Summer carnival releases is all about the transition to Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2019! The mix-tape is loaded with "sneak peaks of songs from Kes The Band, Nailah Blackman, Patrice Roberts, Olatunji, Shal Marshal and so much more"!
We have all been warned to get a designated driver when going out to fete (and drink alcoholic beverages); surely, this is the wise thing to do! Having said that, we designate Travis World and this mix as the designated vibe-master, musical hay-maker to start Carnival 2019. If we have to use baseball terminology we would say that this mix-tape is a home run. However, we have to note that the first six songs on this mix-tape, using a cricket term (Caribbean people rise), jacked this mix out of the field of play... it's a six, top striker mix!
This Mix-tape is unique because you will hear some unreleased songs exclusively on this tape (no major distribution yet). Included in this mix are some of your favorite artistes and a taste of Trinidad and Tobago 2019. Some of your favorite producers from across the Caribbean are inside this mix: Travis World, Precision Productions, Advokit Productions, Stadic (born Trini, Union Island SVG bred), Mical Teja (System 32), NMG Music, Mr. Legs, Motto (St. Lucia), Millbeatz, Ultimate Rejects and more!
We listened to the mixtape and were really impressed with some of the new songs featured on the mix-tape. The Precision Productions vibe sound really good; Problem Child has a hit song for sure; I am liking what I heard from Patrice Roberts and the Ultimate Rejects are on fire but we need to hear the songs in their entirety!
