Then came the show and performance. Ola, as he is fondly known, impressed from the very beginning of his contribution. After he was called upon to 'do his thing', the show producers put on the wrong music. He did not panic but embraced the situation/moment singing his response that it was the wrong song. This found favor with the judges making the rest of the performance 'icing on the cake'. He was energized and transferred that energy to the audience getting them to sing and participate in the performance. The end result was that he captivated the judges and won the hearts of the audience. This was a history-making moment for Soca music and the talent of Olatunji Yearwood.
The Caribbean diaspora and those who love Soca music all sang praises for the performance that pushed Ola to the next round of competition. The talent of Olatunji and the wisdom of the X Factor judges gave Caribbean music and artists a place in the sun. It matters not if the wishing star burns out quickly, what matters is that Ola's voice was heard and will continue to be heard all over the World. We wish Ola success on the show. His talent and the X Factor's producers search for new talent should help Ola achieve whatever his dreams are for this show... Tadow!
