It is time to shell-down Spice Mas with an exciting track from Luni Sparks & Electrify. This one will be heard for the Soca Monarch competition and is one of the more popular songs playing on radio stations in Grenada for carnival 2018. The song is entitled "Mash Up Challenge" and is part of the musical creative process stirring from deep within the soul of Xpert Productions.
This song has the potential to seize the monarch title in dramatic fashion. After these two fiery artistes drop their monarch seeking, victory bound rendition bodies will have to be shoveled from a shelled-down carnival venue. The only thing to stop these guys will be a poor performance on stage.
So here is our challenge to these talented guys:
We have to believe that they understand the potential of this song. As they plan their strategies for the finals they should be playing out various scenarios, checking and rechecking each minute of their planned performance on the finals stage. This is very important, nothing should be taken for granted. If we can impart one bit of advice then this is it: stay focused on the goal (to become monarchs), strategize for the stage performance, make sure that both are hand in glove on the stage and the most important part... do not, under any circumstance, shout/yell the vocals during the performance; just sing properly! Regardless of the emotional impact of the revelry taking place or the exuberance of a captive audience, they must remain focused and deliver a controlled vocal performance. Once again, DO NOT SHOUT-OUT the vocals. Do not equate a healthy energetic performance with shouting... the first (energetic performance) is wonderful while the second (shouting) will lead to a disastrous result!
Now we want to hear from the fans and those who do not adore these guys. What do you think about their chances? What you have to say is important. If you don't agree with our advice, point of view, then let us know. All comments will be published.
