First thing first, did they mean 'Maja' to reference 'an awesome person with lots of energy and comes with an absolutely splendid sense of humor' (Urban dictionary) but added an 'h' to creolize the word. Then again, did they reference 'Majah' as a synonym to 'major'? Oh well, only the songwriter and the production team understand the significance of the spelling. Now let us get down to this new music release from Nessa Preppy entitled 'Majah'.

There is a mini-war brewing in the YouTube comment section for this new music release. Healthy discussions bode well for new music but keep in mind that there are fans and those who simply have to be negative... aka the haters. Everyone has an opinion and we have one too...

On the musical side of the equation, this one has a vibe. It is not complicated but it is a beat that will entice loads of gyrating waistline and teasing body contortions inviting sensual situations... boom score one for the production team.

One of the complaints regarding songs coming out of the Caribbean Basin is that the storylines are blurred or just boring. At least, for Majah, there is a story. It is not a complicated story but done in a very simple manner. Girl loves a boy, a girl wants a boy and boldly sets the terms for engagement. We think the lady side gave up too much and did not demand a better score to ensure self-respect and a sound foundation for a lasting relationship. We give the lyrics a pass.

The video concept was OK. The quality was good but they could have approached the story-line from a sensual point of view and not giving away the store with such exaggerated and sexually inviting movements... relations forged in this kind of fire burn brightly for so long and is gone as quickly as it came. Sensuality should have been the goal of this video... they missed the sweet spot.

If you are a fan of Nessa you have to give her credit for the work done for this music release. It will score in many circles and we wish her well. Now we want to hear from you... all comments will be published.
