Today is the day that steel band lovers are excited about; today, ten bands in the medium conventional bands and eleven in the large conventional bands will compete to determine the champion steel bands for each category. The competition is scheduled for the Queens Park Savannah (D'Big Yard) in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. 

All eyes will be in the large band category where Desperadoes will try to repeat as champions. However, Trinidad All Stars are confident and feel that this is their year to prevail. The clock is ticking and the pan yard are busy this morning moving instruments to the Queens Park Savannah.

The competition starts at 7:00 pm with the Medium Conventional Bands taking the stage to start 'pan-niceness'! The competition will reek of adrenalin and the excitement will result in jubilation for the winning bands and disappointment  for those that failed to conquer the judging criteria. Listen to the painful cry of disappointment but with a defiant tone at the same time: "They thief we, but we will get dem next year!"

Are you ready? Well, we are at Sokah2Soca and we will post the audio and or Video links as they become available. As we have done throughout this Carnival season we plan to get you the results as soon as they become available.
