Here are some of the performances for the Large Bands in the Preliminary stage of the judging for Panorama 2017. The Panorama segment of the Carnival celebration has a tendency to ignite passion within the pan fraternity. Who is going to emerge as Champions? Every pan yard is buzzing with activity and emotions are tagged as elated or frayed in some circles.
The bands played a slow version and a faster version for the judges. We have added to the list and removed the slow versions. It should be noted that band leaders have complained that there is a shortage of players in the early stages of 'pan madness'. However, rest assured that as the final stages of competition arrives that will eventually be resolved as seasoned players come out of the woodwork to become a 'part of d'ting'. There is fun, excitement and a lot of sleepless nights.
This is just the start of all the excitement. It has already infected the pan yards and will be in your living room (via television) or you may find yourself at the Queens Park Savannah for all the excitement.
