Sufferer's under pressure... we could say a lot about that but nothing has changed or will change as it relates to political values in Trinidad and Tobago. Politicians sing a good song and these 'fishers of political votes' always get what they want... your vote and then, nothing but "Salt"!

So here we are again, a change of Government, as demanded by the people, and now the Calypsonian has to intervene to report about what most people knew (most likely) would happen again... Déjà vu! Ras Kommanda has a story to tell and we have the song for your listening pleasure. This is new music (a damn good Calypso) for Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2017; the name of the song is "The Poor Man's Cry". This song, along with "Plight Of My People",  tell a similar story.

Listen to the song and take in the report to the people by this talented Calypsonian. He (Ras Kommanda) chose to go directly to "The Doctor" to get the cure for the problem with a heart felt conversation.  The Doctor asked the population to 'tighten our belts' at his victory speech. Now, after one year in office, nothing has changed and, as a matter of fact, people are experiencing 'more pressure' under the present regime. Thanks to this date in time, Carnival is here to relieve some of the pressure. 'Sufferers Under Pressure' and it will remain that way until 'The Will of the People" prevails.

"The Poor Man's Cry" is a well written Calypso, the music supports the excellent vocal delivery from Ras Kommanda. We expect, that with a good stage performance, he will qualify for the Calypso Monarch finals for Carnival 2017; this song has all the ingredients to have a favorable impact on the judges. It is our hope that political misgivings don't come into play; we demand that this song receives a 'fair hearing' without partisan political intervention.

Now we appeal to you...please keep in mind that the success of these songs depends on your support. Let me say it again, now it is up to you to ensure that this song rides the airwaves.
