No Roti No Dohti | Rikki Jhai | Trinidad & Tobago 2014

"If you don't make the roti then there will be no dhoti later" - read whatever you want into that statement but knowing Trinidadians as well as I do.... I can only smile knowing that it will be on the saucy side. This is new music from Rikki Jhai and the song is entitled "No Roti No Dohti".

This is a production of Ghostwriters and Frost Byte Nation for Rikki Jhai's entrance in the Chutney Soca side of the festival. Rikki will be one of the singers to watch for when the Chutney Soca Monarch competition comes into play. "No Roti No Dohti" may be the song that he enters the competition with or he may surprise us with something new.

This song has a very nice flow and Rikki can sing in the Soca or Chutney Soca genres without missing a beat. This song has a very tempered feeling/vibe and clean/polished sound. Take a listen to Rikki Jai and Ghostwriters as they bring a very witty one to the table for your listening pleasure.
