Here is another calypso specifically written for the steel pan. I don't know who penned the track but the name of the singer is Wayne Pierre and the song is entitled "Mash Up The Stage". When you listen to this song you can actually get an idea of how it will sound on pan. This one should sound really good for Panorama 2014. One of the problems with artists like Wayne Pierre is the fact that they are not well known. Many arrangers love to go with artists whom are household names in the Calypso business. The other issue is that the radio stations don't feature these songs making them well known before the panorama competition takes place.
Take a listen to the song because it is a good song for the steel pan. Spread the word and get people to hear this one by Wayne Pierre. Everyone deserves a chance and all that this one requires is exposure! Enjoy "Mash Up The Stage" by Wayne Pierre and keep hope alive!
