CULECOS PTY | Dulkfyah feat. DJ Ving | Panama 2014

Soca and Carnival music is on the move and when we see and hear things happening elsewhere we always want the 411 on the artist and situation taking place. Today we feature the music of someone who has had music featured on this blog previously. This is new music from Dulfyah but this time he is not alone. This track entitled "Cuelcos PTY" features DJ Ving. Both artists are from Panama and the song is a prelude of things to come for Panama's festival in 2014. This is a 2014 Carnival presentation for anyone and everyone who loves Soca and Carnival music!

So the question is simply this: what the hell is the meaning of the word "Culecos"? Culecos, as it relates to Panama and Carnival, is the act of spraying water (hose down with a power hose) on a crowd on a hot day or it looks like just for the hell of it whenever people are feting and having fun in the open venue. This is similar to what takes place in some open fetes in Trinidad but it is done on grand scale in Panama.

Now you don't need to understand Spanish to love music loaded with rhythms. Take a listen to this one and get a feel for Carnival music Panama style. Enjoy the vibez!
