If you remember the 'good ole days' in Trinidad and Tobago then you may recall liming with friends and having a good time. Many times someone would start a bottle and spoon singalong that falls ring in place with a son like "Keep Talking". This song by "Yankey Boy" has that vibe and it take you to a place 'not so long ago' when people used to lime on the block without fear from anyone. Those days are gone but the music can take us back to a time when life was sweet and the chant of sweet TnT really had sound meaning. However, this song can take port you that time and provide that feeling of 'this is what it is all about', this just the way it should be. This is new music from 'Yankey Boy' and I love the track!
If you are one of those who believe in the "D'Lime" just for liming sake then I have no doubt that you will like this song. This one come from the guys at Ahtik Studios out of New York City and they are representing Trinidad and Tobago with some really quality music. This song by 'Yankey Boy' is a limer's anthem; it will do extremely well when the 'sours' starts to take effect. It is the music especially the fell of friends hangout and jamming with home made instruments (it has that feeling).
OK, I guess that you understand that I approve of this track and I love the direction that Ahtik Studios is taking the music. Lyrikal and Yankey Boy are two young men working with DJ Future of Ahtik and I love the vibe they are dropping for Summer. Last year it was the Asti Riddim and already they are teasing with some really sweet music. Let's see if they really get into the music and produce and release music for Trinidad and Tobago's carnival. The music should be released at the time Trinidad artists are releasing for 2014 and not released during the summer of 2013 for 2014 - the songs will not have the wow factor when 2014 rolls around if released too early. That is what happened to the Asti Riddim!
