In the past I have not been kind to this award show but everyone knows, as the saying goes, 'the show must go on'! The show took place during the run up to the Grenada Carnival and went by without much fanfare. This has been the case for some time now but that has not stopped the show promoters from forging ahead with their hope of hosting a show that that garners international acceptance in the near future.
Like it of not, rate it or not, this is the only Soca Awards show that takes place in the Caribbean region. There may be other Soca Award shows that take place in England, as an example, but this show attempts to cover the entire Soca genre medium... then some!
