Tonight is the night... the hive will be at the National Stadium and the buzz will not be about who has honey in their vocals but the hype of who is the best of the best. A new monarch will be crowned for the Power Soca category and everyone will be watching and listening to see if "Shortpree" has what it takes to repeat as Monarch in the Groovy Soca Category. The buzz may be at the stadium but the hype will play out all over as Soca lovers tune in to the National Statium in St. Georges for this musical/vocal showdown that will determine who is the best of the best for Carnival/Spice Mas 2013. The listing of singers, sobriquet and name of songs below show the artists who will compete for the Grenada Groovy Soca Monarch Competition tonight at the National Stadium. The ten  contestants below will attempt to dethrone the reigning monarch "Shortpree" and become the New Groovy Soca Monarch for Spice Mas 2013.

The standby artists for the Groovy segment is the duo Kellon & Kelson Ogiste whose sobriquot is Luni Spark and Electrify. If they perform their song will be "Soca Feeling". They will participate, however, in the Power Soca competition tonight. Good luck to all the participants!

The following artists will appear in the finals of the Power Soca category of the Grenada Soca Monarch finals. This year there will definitely be a 'New Monarch' because last year's winner, Lavaman, will not defend his title. This may be the first time that a monarch has not defended the title won the previous year. It should be an interesting night!

Last night, at the National Stadium in Grenada,  Blacka Dan won the Groovy Soca competition while Boyzie emerged as the winner of the Power Soca competition when the results were announced early this morning.
