Here are the listings of the artists names/sobriquets/songs for the finals of the SMC/ LIME Groovy Soca Monarch Competition scheduled to take place at the National Stadium on Friday August 9, 2013. The top performer last night was "Blaka Dan" with his song titled "Whole Day We Jammin".  Last year's Groovy Soca Monarch winner, Findbar Andrew aka "Short Pree", will have his 'hands full' when "Blaka Dan" takes the stage with his very popular "Whole Day We Jammin". This will be a very interesting final night of competition. 

Mr. xPert of Xpert Productions has to one proud (and very pleased) producer this morning. The top two songs last night were songs that he produced. The eX+5 Riddim is a very 'sweet riddim' and the fact that "Baka Dan" scored the most points for this segment of the competition says a lot about the music and its producer; of course, we cannot forget about the lyrics of the song that are just as good. "Whole Day We Jammin" is, and will always be, the driving force of any West Indian themed Carnival celebration. It was also reported that Super Flying Flint also performed well and was a crowd favorite with his song titled "Party Feeling".

The nine contestants below will attempt to dethrone the reigning monarch "Short Pree" and become the Monarch for Spice Mas 2013. Good luck to all the participants!

On standby for this competition are the due performers Kellon and Kelson Ogiste whose sobriquet as performing artists is "Luni Spark & Electrify". The song they sang for the competition is "Soca Feeling". They will perform if someone 'pulls out of the competition' or simply could not perform for the finals.
