Drinking Liming | Kiko Dan & Mysta Lyon | Trinidad 2013/14

As Summer makes way for Fall in the United States that could only mean it is time to party for Labor Day in Brooklyn, NYC. Having said that everyone should know that West Indians are well known for their love for 'liming with friends'. Now when West Indians are liming drinks (alcoholic beverages) are always involved.

Yes... 'Drinking and Limining' or 'Liming and Drinking' is a part of our feting behavior. Kiko Dan and Mysta Lyon have put together a song produced by Anil Singh that tells the story about 'Drinking and Liming' and they simply titled their song... Drinking Liming.  Yuh think West Indians are easy... well come and have a good time, come and lime and drink and lime and you will surely understand.

The bass rhythm is slamming on this track and it has a vibe to it that personifies feting or liming West Indians on a festive day. This song was released in time for Brooklyn's Labor Day Carnival festivities and can be called a Summer Soca Song. However, if the radio jocks are fair (and that is a stretch) they would help these guys promote this song so that it plays out for the rest of the year into Miami Carnival and usher in the early festivities for Trinidad and Tobago's Carnival 2014.

Listen to the song, turn up your volume and enjoy the vibe. If you like what you hear then don't hesitate to leave some love for the work done by the artists and the production team. Please use the comment feature of this post (top right hand corner) to leave your remarks.

Now it is time for 'Drinking Liming' and the vibe that the music brings to the table. This song has a true bacchanal vibe to it, a vibe to simply 'leh go',  'free up' and have a 'damn good time'... as only West Indians can do!
