There is something that I find peculiar about the songs on this riddim. The singers all have a similar singing style and because of that one does not stand out from the other. I understand that the riddim has a lot to do with this but let me make a reference. If you listen to a riddim like the Project 5 Riddim out of Trinidad for Carnival 2013, the riddim is the same but every song on the riddim sounds different; that is not the case with the songs on this riddim!
Now don't get me wrong or misrepresent what I am saying to others. I do like the riddim but as I said before all the songs on the riddim have a similar vocal presence. I am sure that people who love Soca music, and especially the people from territories other than Trinidad and Tobago, will have a different point of view. That is fine with me and you can leave your remarks via the comment feature of this blog post - I will post all comments.
