Those of you who 'have a horse in the race' for the 'Groovy Soca Monarch Finals' in Saint Lucia can now assess the competition now that the listing has been published.
The finals are scheduled to take place on July 13, 2013 at Point Seraphin, the same night the Party Monarch finals take place at the Beausejour Cricket Grounds. Start time is 8:00 pm.
The defending champion is the very popular Teddyson John aka "TJ". There is no official word that he will be defending his title this year. However, these competitions never have the same impact if the defending champ does not return to fend of the contenders.
This should be an interesting show and has been noted on imix by Ljohnb00 (imix avatar) there are some well known names excluded this year: Soca Princess, Ambi and Marie-Ann.
