Pan Ossia | Quako | Grenada Panorama 2013

Everyone is focused on the Soca music releases for the various upcoming Carnival in Grenada, Saint Vincent, Saint Lucia, Antigua and for Barbados Crop Over 2013. However, the joy and sweetness of the Calypso artform seems to have been shelved by many radio stations in the region. The best calypso songs are written for the steel pan panorama competitions. Today we feature a song for the Grenada Panorama competition. The name of the song is Pan-Ossia and it come from the artist, the singer known as Quako.

Take a listen to the song and get a feel for Grenada calypso (the Panorama edition) for this years festival. The panorama competitions have a special following and the pan players are already working out the kinks for their on stage presentations. Some of you reading this may have already heard the song on 'pan' and if you did please leave a comment updating us regarding the bands playing the song and it they hit the 'sweet spot' with the arrangement.

From listening to this band play and comparing to other bands that took part I don't think the judges was in the same location where this band was playing. This makes me ask my self was money passed for this band to get 7th position. I heard them play the night of panorama and I asked if this was a trini band!
