De Ting Buff | Saucy Wow (Denise Belfon) | Summer 2013

Denise Belfon has a new song that has some people describing it as a hit! Well I listened to the song and it does have the bacchanal element intact but a hit song? No... there is no festival in place to carry the song. Trinidad is famous for its notorious 'Soca Switch' and because of that it will take some serious promotion on her part (and the management team) to have it on rotation on those Trinidad and Tobago radio stations (sad but true, and they call Trinidad the Mecca... what a shame!).
Let's be realistic... this is a Carnival type of track and Trinidad and Tobago's Carnival went to sleep some a few months ago. "De Ting Buff" should get some airplay 'up d'islands' with Saint Vincent, Saint Lucia, Antigua and Grenada Carnivals on the horizon.

In North America the song should also do well for Caribana and the various West Indian style carnivals in the United States. Let's keep our fingers crossed for this song; when Trinidad's festival comes back into play this song should be promoted because it has the potential to do well!

A new release at this time says a lot about he 'new approach' of the Trinidad and Tobago music producers working with these talented artists (if only the radio station could cooperate.. that would be sweet). Is it a good song... well if you know Saucy and you are into her style then this one should wet your appetite for more! Yes, it is a good song but a song that may not get the love it deserves in Trinidad and Tobago - that is just the way it is (because of the shameful Soca switch)!

Now you can take a listen to the song and get a fell for the vibe that the Saucy One delivers on this one that she named "De Ting Buff". Enjoy the music (I have posted the YouTube video until the song becomes available for uploading to my cloud player).
