This is new music from the man from singing sensation from St. Lucia better known as "TJ"; yes, this is new music from Teddyson John and it is good! When I first heard this song it reminded me of the singing style of Trinidadian singer Kerwin Dubois. I love listening to Kerwin and this one by TJ is good and even better because it reminds me of listening to one of my favorite Soca singers.
The song was written by Jelani Nedd of Cloud9tt and Kasey Phillips of Precision Productions. Precision Productions also produced and mixed the track that was then sent to California, USA for the final mastering by Mike Wells.
TJ and Precision have worked together previously and their collaborative juices have once again produced music that is worth listening. The Trinidad elements are strong with this one since we also have Sheriff dropping guitar vibes on the production. This one should do well for SLU Carnival 2013.
Take a listen to the music and get a feel for this one that is titled 'Sweet Soca Music'. After listening to the vibe I am sure you will agree that indeed, this is really some 'Swee Soca Music". Please leave your comments via the comment feature of this posting (top right hand corner).
From the Production team/music blast:
As the spirit of Carnival descends upon the beautiful isle of St. Lucia, an undeniable call to freedom is released into the air, by the reigning Groovy Monarch himself, Teddyson "TJ" John.
In a perfectly sweetened mix of rhythm and soul, Precision Productions concocts a tuneful serum designed to soothe masqueraders, who have been longing for this season’s return, while simultaneously injecting their hearts with the frenzied joy only "Sweet Soca Music" can provide.
And, in only his first writing endeavor with the team, Jelani Nedd of Cloud9tt, brings to life that sublime feeling of this festival’s music with poetic phrasing and imaginative descriptions. With its matchless energy, this track is sure to have listeners happily chipping throughout the streets.
