This is the music of Ricardo Drue produced by Keon Rhymen and Kamau Georges; this is music released for Antigua Carnival 2013 and for anyone who loves a sweet groove. The song is what I will call and 'inbetweener' because it clears blurs the line between Soca and typical American style music. There is also a Machel vibe when the 'more distinct vocals come into play'. This song is a smooth and I could also add slick performance. I like the track!
Now as it relates to the Carnival scene I don't believe that the artist and producers had festival music in mind when they produced this track. I am sure they are thinking about crossing barriers and marketing this song on the North American market. I wish them well; it is a very good production and Drue has the voice to make it work.
