We have heard the conversations over and over again... Carnival is seasonal! This statement is made with regard to the release of music for the festival. So much music is released for Carnivals in the region then nothing until the next year. Well that may not be the case again; a few artists from Trinidad and Tobago are not waiting but releasing music that could impact the carnival celebrations that are scheduled for later this year in the English speaking Caribbean nations. Yes, we have new music releases 'out of season' from sweet TNT!
Today we feature a song by Kenyba (RQB) out of Trinidad and Tobago, a song that has just been released after Trinidad and Tobago's Carnival went into hibernation. The name of the song is titled 'Carnival Time'. Isn't that just right? Carnivals in St. Maaten (Saint Martin), Point Fortin Borough Day in Trinidad (growing and getting bigger each year), Atlanta, Orlando, Phoenix, Tampa, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia, Atlantic City, Antigua and there is more but you get my point - this music will find a home for sure in these festivals.
Take a listen to this offering and get a feel for the music. The song is one for the road, it is full of energy and will fit in with the rest of Power Soca songs sung for feting 'On De Road'! Do you think that it is good enough or not worthy. Please leave your feedback via the comment feature of this post.
