The Lotto Plus Chutney Soca Monarch Semi Final competition will take place tonight at the Rienzi Complex in Couva, Trinidad (Friday January 18, 2013). The following list of contestants will be competing for a place in the finals at Skinner's Park in San Fernando.
Tonight's competition (45 contestants from an original field of 120 artists) will will selelect the 15 contestants to compete in the finals against last year's champion Kris Veeshal Persad aka "KI". Last year "KI" won the competition with his very popular song titled "Single Forever"; he became the youngest Chutney Soca Monarch in the history of the competition.
This show should be an interesting one and is the first of the big competitions to take place for Carnival 2013. The Finalists are highlighted in BLUE and will come up against reigning champion Kris "KI" Persad.
