When you hear the word 'Rebel' it may conjure images of a rebellious person or, in this case, a person who refuses allegiance to what is the norm. Now that (latter meaning) is what I want you to think about when you hear this track that was produced by 'Rebel Musik' with singers Lyrical and Wildfire doing the vocal honors.
This song has a really sweet vibe to it and the song should do very good on the 'Groovy Soca Music Circuit'. This song will have you grooving and having a really good time. The singers performed admirably and the music is 'Rebel Musik' sweet and just right! I also noticed in the production notes that the track was mixed and mastered by Ahtik Studios out of NYC.
The team at Ahtik are the guys who brought us that wonderful Asti Riddim; Lyrical sang Jouvert Morning with Ace on that Riddim. This offering titled "Sweet Getaway" is a sweet vibe and one that everyone with an ear for music can dance to and have a really good time with someone special. Congratulations to everyone who worked on this song - "I Love It"!
Pros:
This song is sweet; the singers did a very good job and the music production is excellent. I just love the vibe and lyrics on this song.
Cons:
Nothing to gripe about! I do hope that the radio stations give this song some 'fair play' - it is one that deserves to be heard.
Bottom Line:
A well produced, well song track that will be on many music players and one that will definitely be played in parties long after the Carnival is over!
