I saw the release on islandmix.com with their patented "islandmix.com, we play them first" coming across Destra Garcia's vocals. I was surprised that they approached the release as a new song (only 12 plays when I took a look). Well I don't have a problem with the re-release because we have a shortage of Power Soca tracks.
As I mentioned in my initial posting the drumming on this song reminds me of Kernel Roberts drumming style. The music is fast but Destra is right on key with the music. This one should go down well with those who were longing for some 'pace' in the music and also for those who love to listen to Destra's vibrant singing style.
Pros:
Strong and Vibrant singing style with complimentary music that is filled with traditional brass music. Of course you should know that the 'original ole school sound' provided with the use of traditional instruments were orchestrated by the very experienced music producer Mr. Kenny Phillips.
Cons:
It is a re-release and may not have the impact desired because it has been played and heard months ago for the Lucian Carnival celebrations.
