Sokah2Soca - The Heartbeat of Soca, Calypso, and Caribbean Music

This is the latest release from Swappi 4D; the song is a production of London Future and is considered by many as the follow (next hit song) after 'Bubble On A DJ'! Well after my first listen I have to say that it has something going for it and people will get on crazy with this release.

Someone (Trinidad based) mentioned to me, on islandmix Backchat forum, that when this song drops it will be the next big hit out of Trinidad. Well, I don't think so because this song is not really a 'Carnival song'; and to be honest, it feels like it really belongs to the club scene!
Now having said that, I have to state that I am a little conflicted regarding where this one will really do its 'promised damage'... I don't have a good feel for this track - may be it will do well or it may not live up to the hype!

People back home (on the ground) think that this is a sure hit for Swappi and that he will do serious damage across the land with this release.Will it be in the fetes or in the club scene? I still believe that it has a club banger feel but not a fete feel. This one should and would do well on the club/party scene but I really don't get the feeling that this will mash up a Carnival Fete!

Everything is subjective today regarding the 'feel' for the new music released but then again it is the vibe of the youth that will determine what makes it and that which will not. Everyone has their favorite but regardless of what you or I may believe we all know that the youth will dictate that which is relevant and current rather than what I believe may or may not make it. The Party vibe is with Swappi 4D and in the end he and the people who fill the fetes will have the final say!

This song has something special about it but it may or may not be the music you are looking for or wish to have for Carnival 2013. One thing I can say is that the more you listen to the song the better it gets. I can just imagine how crazy it will get when the girls start to wine to this one - 4D! Take a listen and judge for yourself!

Pros:
Swappi Vibe! He has a following and they love his music. It is very different and London Future and Swappi surely seem to know what they wanted to do with this one. The lyrics fall in place for the more youthful generation of music lovers. Crazy vibes/Swappitacular!

Cons:
Does it live up to 'Bubble On A DJ' and will it carry on like 'Party Vibes' on the Full Throttle Riddim? I don't know but we will have to wait and see.

The Bottom Line:
The fans seem to be loving it because people are hitting the song like crazy. Maybe it is because of the hype or simply because they love Swappi's style. I am sure Swappi is not worried. This song will be a hit simply because the youth will love it - Swappi is one of their own! Watch out because this vibe will creep up on you!
