Stranger | Farmer Nappy | Trinidad Carnival 2013

This song has life, it is vibrant and full of rhythm... this is the music of Farmer Nappy with a musical assist from 'De Red Boyz' out of Barbados. This song is musically happy, it is one to just let go and have a good time - this is happy music!

From the very start of the song one could tell that it is different. The music and the general feel of the track is very different from the current crop of music being released daily on islandmix for Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2013. Some may say that the song is a little 'busy' musically but the song just works. The music is lively and vibrant from the start to the end and when it ends you simply want more.

Farmer Nappy has matured some time now and is a star on his own; he does not need the HD family to be recognized as a superb artist out there - Farmer has the stuff to do it on his own; being a part of the HD family only helps promote his talented artiste!

Pros:
Really nice music that is very much unlike the norm we are hearing released daily for Trinidad Carnival 2013 and because it is different (in a positive manner) it stands out. The music production and the vocal performance are 'just right' and this is the recipe for a hit track. This song should do well!

Cons:
Some may say that the entire production is a bit 'busy' with so much going on musically and with the vocals but I don't think that it will impact the success of this song.

Bottom Line:
This song is not a game changer but it is a refreshing change to listen to in this busy Soca music season. It is nice to hear Farmer doing his thing and coming with something that got my attention. The music is different and stands out  - I like this one!
