This is Shall Marshall with his latest offering for Carnival 2013; the track is titled 'Wickedest Wine'. Shal is a radio jock and understands what the young crowd wants to hear. He isn't a youngster but knows how to make music for the young at heart. This is a Soca track designed to engender winin' and 'rolling of bumpers' in the party scene.
This is typical Shal Marshall. The music has a familiar sound to it. At least one can discern the Soca beat with this track. Is there anything special about the song? No, but it will surely have you moving and grooving; and with the ladies dropping their wickedest wine you will surely like this track when it is played!
I delayed with this but will finish soon...some thoughts about Shal's song. Please don't forget to leave your feed back on the song and post review.
Lyrics:
The lyrics on this were written for the Carnival scene. This is the type of lyrics that those who are young and young at heart will appreciate.
Vocal Performance:
This comes easy for Shal. One can tell that he is comfortable in front of the microphone and has delivered a very good vocal performance for this track. I did not have any problem understanding every word in the performance. In other words his diction is good and his style bodes well for future success.
Replay Worthiness/Lasting Appeal:
Did I hear someone say replay, rewind and come again? Shal's songs get their fair share of airplay and I don't see it being any different for this song. He is a known personality/artist and has friends in the industry - you will hear this song. In terms of lasting appeal the jury is out with this one.
