Stormin' | Lil Bits | Trinidad Carnival 2013

Here is the  latest release from Lil Bits for Carnival 2013. The song was written by Sherrad Churche, Mixed and Mastered by Val Musik & Mastered by Precision Productions
Stormin' is an art practised by Trinis who don't want to pay to get into an event. In other words professional 'gate-crashers' can be the order of the night or during a Sporting or cultural event. Now that Lil Bits has decided to storm the road one has to wonder... "What does she mean"?
I guess the weather forecast is calling for a downpour of humanity on Carnival day as masqueraders take the street 'by storm'! Lil Bits simply wants everyone to know, to be aware that for Carnival 2013 the road belongs to the masqueraders.

This is just another take on the "the road make to walk on carnival day". Today it is thunder as Lil Bits and her crew take to the road for the festival.

Lyrics:
One can tell that some thought went into the writing of the lyrics for this song. I guess as a child of the Caribbean it should be easy to understand the premise of the song but what about people who are not tuned into our Caribbean dialect?

Vocal Performance:
Strong and in control. Lil Bit is not little when it comes to putting her vocal chords to words to create a vocal ambiance that will have you shaking and grooving to her musical expressions.

Music/Production:
The music is well done. The only thing I can say is that there is nothing that makes the music stand out from the rest of music out there. It is good, clean and well produced.

Replay Worthiness/lasting Appeal:
This is a carnival song, this is Carnival music. It will get its fair share of airplay and remix in fetes. However, after the carnival is over and the Soca switch takes effect in Trinidad you will be lucky to hear this one played again.
