Ladies and gentlemen we finally have lift off of the Full Throttle Riddim done by Precision Productions. We had the mix teaser earlier but today we have a song debut from the Riddim. Lady Destra Garcia has released her offering titled "Handle The Ride" on mydestra.com (her webpage).

Now before anyone says this Riddim is not new let me just state that this is the Trinidad addendum to the Crop Over slate of songs for this Riddim done by Precision Productions. Of course I am very cognizant of the fact that this Riddim was originally done for Barbados Kadooment earlier this year; these new songs simply enhances the work done earlier this year!

However, these new songs with mainly Trinidad artists were done for Carnival 2013. This song by Destra Garcia is the first full release from newly remixed and released version that I have heard. It is presented here for your listening pleasure.

Destra is the Queen of Soca in the World! This woman is ridiculously vibrant and vivacious and wickedly sweet on stage. She can sing and can put down a fantastic performance. She does not stick. Destra is Red Bull in motion!

Lyrics:
This song was written to burn energy. If you want a serious work out song then 'wuk it' with this one. The lyrics are all about what takes place in fetes and carnival in general. Don't put too much though into these lyrics - it was designed to tease and bring out the heart and soul of what carnival is all about - fun and release your hang-ups!

Vocals:
She is Queen. Unlike Patrice this lady can do it all. She will tear up the studio, mash us the stage and create havoc with her stage performance. Destra is the total package. Her vocals are clear and strong and easily understood... what else can one ask for?

Music/Performance:
Precision Productions have done it again. However, these songs and this one far surpass the earlier offerings for Kadooment on the very same riddim. The music is strong and vibrant - Kudos to Kasey and Nikholai!

Replay Worthiness/Lasting Appeal:
Just two words will suffice here: Hell Yes!
