The true "engine room" for Trinidad and Tobago Carnival will always be Calypso and especially Calypso written for Panorama! The heart and soul of  a good panorama song is no different from any well written and sung musical piece - Melody, Harmony and Rhythm! This one by Dexter Stewart whose sobriquet is "Blaxx" provides all the elements of a good panorama song. This song should be well received by the steel pan fraternity. 

Don't let the name of the song fool you into thinking about any traffic situation. This is move and groove bouncing to the music and driving the rhythm home at the Queen's Park Savannah (Big Yard). 

Lyrics:

Clive Telemarque has written a gem for Blaxx. If you love this segment of Carnival then you will surely understand that this song is a treat for pan-fanatics. I am sure there are pan music arrangers salivating and creating 'musical runs' for the 'big stage in the Savannah' - "De Big Yard".

Vocals:

What can one say about the work done by 'Blaxx' here... superb! I am sure that most of the other Calypsonians are scratching their head and wondering what can they do to 'catch up' with this one. 

Music/Production:

I don't have the information regarding the music production/band playing the music for this one but will update the posting as soon as the information becomes available. However, I can say that this one was well produced and should be one to watch for next Panorama.
One thing that does not feel or sound right about this song...  I don't believe the way the track started should remain the same... it should have a better musical introduction. 

Replay Worthiness/Lasting Appeal:

There is no doubt in my mind that this song will be heard a lot on the radio. Check out Wack Radio for firt dibs on this one. This is the music for pan and the show 'Pan In Yuh Pwefen' will definitely feature this track. Keep in mind that just abut every well written and sung 'pan track' lives on forever. These songs will be played on radio years from now unlike Soca/Feting music. Yes, this one will live on!
